ITINERARY

Day 01 Ktm/Zangmu (2300m)- 123kms.
Early morning drive from Ktm to Kodari. After doing immigration and custom formalities drive uphill to Zangmu   immigration post . Complete custom formalities. O/n at Hotel Zangmu.
Day 02 Zangmu/ Xegar (4350m.) -244kms.
Drive to Xegar crossing Nyalam pass and Lalung La Pass. This drive offers fantastic view of the high mountains including Everest . O/s at Hotel Xegar.
Day 03 Xegar /Xigatse (3900m)-244 Kms.
Drive  to Xigatse. Xigatse has the famous Tashilunpo Monastery and seat of Panchen Lama. O/n at Hotel Xigatse.
Day 04 Xigatse/Gyantse (3900m)-90 Kms.
In the morning visit Tashilunpo Monastery and the  free market of Xigatse. In the afternoon drive to Gyantse and visit Phalkor Monastery and Khumbum stupa. O/n at Hotel Gyantse.
Day 05 Gyantse/Lhasa (3650m) - 259 Kms.
The drive to Lhasa takes 08 hrs, crossing two passes the Karo La and Kamba La via Yamdrok Tso lake. O/n in Lhasa.
Day 06 & 07 Lhasa : Sight seeing tour Potala Palace, Norbulinka Palace, Jokhang Temple, Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery and Barkhor bazaar.
Day 08 Transfer to Gonggar airport for your onward flight to Kathmandu.

Day 01 The 01 hour 10 minutes, Trans Himalayan flight to Lhasa considered one of the most beautiful flight in the world takes you over Kanchenjunga and Everest. Upon arrival in Lhasa, transfer to your hotel.
Day 02 Visit Sera Monastery, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar.
Day 03 Visit Potala Palace and Drepung Monastery.
Day 04 Morning tour of the Norbulinka Palace, the Tibetan Museum and Tibetan Medical Center. Rest of the day free to Explore Lhasa city.
Day 05 Transfer to Gonggar airport to board your flight to Kathmandu.

Day 01 Fly to Lhasa by CSWA flight. Upon arrival at Gonggar airport meeting and assistance and then transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02 Sightseeing tour of Sera Monastery, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 Sightseeing tour of Potala palace and Drepung Monastery. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04 Fly back to Kathmandu.

* Insurance surcharge @ US$ 5 per sector on air-tickets.
* Airport tax.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • As per the Chinese Embassy policy, visa to Tibet is issued to minimum of 05 pax and above, as such, the above client will have to join a group called FIXED DEPARTURE TOUR, which departs only on Saturdays and Tuesdays. For the visa to Tibet we will be issuing a Group visa irrespective of Nationality.
  • Please fax us the passport details at least a week prior to the client arrival, enable us process for the Tibet Visa.
  • Above rates are payable in advance by US$ bank transfer favoring M/s. Applaud Peter Stewart, Kathmandu, Nepal by bank draft or by bank transfer.
  • o obtain a Chinese VISA, clients will have to stay for two/three nights prior to flying to LXA as Chinese Embassy opens only three days a week Monday, Wednesday & Friday for one hour approx. generally only i.e. from 1000 hrs. till 1100 hrs.
