 Important information

  • This is an international classed event and offers a challenging course. Entrants are strongly advised to undertake prior training.
  • Applicants should be confident in bike handling skills and capable of sustained riding for over an hour.
  • School Teams must be made up of 3 students (10+2 or less) currently attending the nominated school.

Race Package

Race Package of (US$ 30 /event) includes:

  • Race entry.
  • Racing shirt.

  • Discounts on all meals from the Race Headquarters Restaurant in Thamel [Northfield café]
  • Nepal Tourism Board. Welcome to Nepal Pack (Video/ CD Rom etc)
  • Discount Hotel accommodations over the full month of November & race series, with a choice of 5-star / 4-star & budget accommodations in the heart of Kathmandu
  • Post Series Awards Gala evening at Radisson Hotel- 24th Nov
  • Fixed Price (extra cost): Carbo loading dinner on Friday night’s, Saturday pre race breakfast’s, finish line snacks (fruit / water free) and Saturday night party.

*Please note there is also a special package available to all well-wishers & supporters traveling with competitors i.e. accommodation / meals will all be offered at discounted rates.

*Airport transfers will be arranged for $10 per trip (max 5 people) capable of accommodating bikes & luggage.

Entry Procedure

The Himalayan Mountain Bike Action Asia - Race Series is an international adventure mountain bike race to competitors of all nations. Race entry is open to 200 individuals. The registration deadline is one week prior to race date, 2001.

Entrants are required to send biography data highlighting athletic, personal or professional achievement and biking experience with a completed entry form downloaded from this website. This is not so much a pre-race qualification process but more so relevant data for the media coverage & commentator support

Payments:

Payments should be made prior to arrival in Nepal and this can be done in two ways:

  1. Bank transfer, inclusive of transfer fees from your home country and abroad, add $20 for Nepal.

  3. Credit Card (Master & Visa)
  4. Download application sheet from the HMB web site and complete and fax to HMB Fax: (+977-1) 4442345 or 4442345 together with:

    • Passport faxed copy
    • Credit card faxed copy
    • Note: credit card payments incur a 4% levy, which you should add.

    Himalayan Mountain Bike will be running the month of November as a bike festival with the aim of offering pre & post race tours, entertainment, accommodation, airport transfers meals & a Nepal cultural experience.

    To make your trip as smooth as possible advise us of your travel requirements
    Example: what nights for accommodation (single / double rooms), flight details, transfer required etc
    From there we’ll make all the arrangements if adequate notice has been given
    (At least one week’s notice).
