Airport transfers:

Introduction:
If you’ve never been to Nepal before then Tribhuvan International Airport is sure to prove to be an experience. Airport facilities have been upgraded enormously in past months, however a mob of taxi wallah’s will await you outside the terminal with generally tiny Maruti Taxi’s and vans that will challenge accommodating a bike and luggage plus test getting to your hotel in a relaxed frame of mind. Of course it can also be the start to your serendipity Kathmandu experience and part of being in an exotic new destination. The ride is approx. 20 to 30 minutes into central Thamel / Kathmandu depending on the time of day and number of cow’s on the road! The airport is located on the Ring Road just to the southeast of the city.

Pre-booked Van’s

A Toyota Hi-Ace (6-seater) Van will meet you at the airport (look for a HMB signboard with your name as you exit the terminal) that will transfer you into Kathmandu, direct to your Hotel. Van’s can adequately accommodate up to 4 bikes on the roof rack plus luggage. Transfer Fee (one-way): us$7/person

If you are booking an airport transfer then:

  • Don’t depart the airport until you have made contact with your HMB driver
  • Supply HMB with your flight details (flight No. / arrival time)
  • Missed connections, cancellations, no shows will still be charged for unless we have received notification 2 hours prior to the schedule arrival by e-mail or phone.
  • Return transfers can also be booked.

Accommodation:

Introduction:
Three standard of hotels have been chosen for your accommodation in Kathmandu, all are excellent within their own ranking and HMB has arranged special tariffs for race competitors and accompanying companions. All rooms offer attached bathrooms and clean facilities as imagined with the hotel class. The rooms are booked on a room only basis and extras i.e. meals, laundry, phone etc are your expense. It is important to specify the dates you require your rooms allowing for your tours and race dates.
